Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT SIZE TO CHOOSE FOR MY ERAEN DUVET?

The Eraen range is available in three sizes, generally offered as follows:

  • 140×200 cm for single beds up to 90-100 cm wide
  • 200×200 cm for mid-size beds up to 160 cm wide
  • 240×220 cm for large beds over 160 cm wide

This guide offers a general guideline; everyone can adapt it according to their preferences: whether you are a restless or still sleeper, a couple who prefers “their own duvet”, or someone who likes to cocoon themselves in the duvet or prefer it laid flat – the possibilities are endless!

CHOOSING YOUR DUVET COVER

We anticipate offering you perfectly suited bed linen for our products in the near future. In the meantime, the rule is simple: to preserve the exceptional qualities of alpaca wool, a natural duvet cover is essential. Satin or cotton percale are perfectly suitable. You may also opt for warmer materials such as silk in winter, and lighter options like linen for summer.

Do not use synthetic materials, as this would diminish the experience.

HOW TO CARE FOR MY ERAEN DUVET?

Washing an alpaca duvet with water would inevitably cause the wool to felt and render it unusable. However, there is no need to worry; alpaca wool is self-cleaning and air circulates well through it, meaning that frequent airing is sufficient to keep your duvet clean. Should an accident occur, you may use a damp cloth for spot treatment. You may also use a vinegar solution on your cloth for greater effectiveness.

For a major accident, a gentle dry cleaning program by a professional is recommended.

SMALL AMOUNTS OF WOOL ARE ESCAPING FROM MY DUVET, IS THIS NORMAL?

Eraen duvets are entirely natural, which is why we do not use chemically sealed textile casings to retain the fiber inside the duvet. We have carefully selected our cotton so that its weave is as tight as possible without altering the characteristics of alpaca wool. We all sleep differently, and some users may notice tiny amounts of wool escaping from their duvet, while others may not at all. There is no need to worry if this occurs; it is a natural phenomenon that varies in intensity depending on the sleeper, and it has been taken into account during the design of our duvets. After a few days of use, the duvet will stabilize.

IS ALPACA WOOL ANIMAL WELFARE FRIENDLY?

The alpaca is a highly sensitive animal that cannot withstand intensive farming and mistreatment. A happy herd guarantees a good harvest.

If you are looking for a natural, high-quality duvet designed with respect for animal welfare, our duvets await you!

WHERE ARE ERAEN DUVETS DESIGNED?

A French-Polish company rooted in the tradition of European excellence, Eraen has centralized its workshops and breeding facilities in Poland at the foot of the Carpathians. In the heart of Europe, we have developed specifications prioritizing local suppliers, short supply chains, and sustainable partnerships. We procure from the finest what we do not produce in-house, to ensure consistent quality in our products. No false ‘made-in-France’ claims, but genuine collaborative harmony.

WHY CHOOSE ALPACA WOOL?

Rare and precious, alpaca wool offers excellent thermal insulation, ideal for a year-round duvet. Naturally hypoallergenic and moisture-wicking, it ensures healthy and restorative sleep.

If you are looking for the ideal duvet for any season to always enjoy peaceful sleep, alpaca wool is perfect for you!

Outperforming duck or goose down, its lightness and insulating power make it an ultimate comfort choice, without the heaviness of traditional duvets.
